Good bye Elder Parrish

Everyone brought something and we had a great lunch, invited many that help us here in the building.

This seems so old now but I ran across the pictures when I did the post on our tour and wanted to include a small note to remember this. Elder Parris is from Pocatello and went home in October. We had a going away Bar-B-Q in his honor, actually any excuse to eat is acted upon here in the mission. Hope he is doing well!

Sister Dresen left for home today. We will miss her but she has served well and faithfully and is excited to see her family. Last evening we had a dinner for her at the mission home with all the senior missionaries. Today she helped get one last dinner ready, and then helped serve the young missionaries. She completed her mission by literally serving right up to the end. After the meal Sister Sloan took her to the airport, the office Elders helped get her bags inside and she was on her way. It seems strange to pass her apartment, she lived just down the hall from us, and know she isn´t there anymore.

On the 12th of September we spoke in church, kind of our farewell. Mom and Dad Oliverson, Randy and Judy, KC and Jake, Syd, Trent and Vi, Trudy and Travis all were able to come. We had a nice day, the weather was great. Dad said he worried about 3 things when he went as a young missionary, 1. would he be a good missionary 2. could he learn the language and 3. would he get along with his companion. He has the same three worries as an old missionary. I told him not to worry, we have a two bedroom apartment.
